Le Castellet, is a track that is very different from most other race tracks. The track consists of a large asphalt area where the track is painted. The exit options are paved with small stones like gravel, which means that you stop faster if you make a mistake and can't avoid running off the track. The track always makes for really good racing, but I think the track in my mind is a bit too modern because the run-off areas are simply too wide. So when you make a mistake you are not punished as you would be on most other race tracks. Le Castellet always tests a driver's patience, as the track is long with many technically difficult turns.
